The acquisition paths federal agencies can use to put Hadron on contract.
SBIR Phase III is a statutory acquisition authority (15 U.S.C. § 638(r); FAR 6.302-5) for SBA-funded innovations that have already been previously competed. All Hadron products have been funded via this authority. Therefore, agencies can issue direct awards under any of the contract vehicles below or as a stand-alone contract. Through Hadron’s MAS contract, agencies can procure Photon software products and maintenance thereof, plus skilled software, cloud, and DevOps engineering expertise. MAS orders may be competed or issued as ceiling-free direct awards using SBIR authority.

The Missile Defense Agency’s Scalable Homeland Innovative Enterprise Layered Defense (SHIELD) IDIQ is the Department of War’s primary acquisition vehicle for rapidly developing and fielding advanced missile defense capabilities, including the broader Golden Dome initiative. SHIELD spans the full lifecycle of missile defense and advanced defense systems across 19 technical work areas, including science and technology, research and development, prototyping and experimentation, architecture development, modeling and simulation, systems engineering, weapon design and development, integration, production and fielding, test and evaluation, operations and sustainment, and cybersecurity.
